Longhill High School has won a bid to win an Ultimaker2 3D printer. The printer will be generously donated by Dr Harvey with funding he received from the ‘I’m A Scientist: Get Me Out Of Here’ project. The Head of Technology, Mr Matthews, wrote the winning bid explaining how the printer would have a positive impact on students through an after school STEM club.
As part of the prize the school will also receive a 3D printed model, to be chosen by the students, from designer maker Brian Richardson.
Mr Matthews said “This is a fantastic prize for our school. Both the printer and 3D model will inspire our students to experiment further in technology and design.”
