Hard-hitting and Inspiring Talks
This week we had an amazing and inspiring visit from the volunteers of St Giles Trust. They delivered an assembly to Year 8s and Y9s about county lines, and how young people are exploited through gangs and criminal behaviours.
We heard some hard-hitting true stories of how gangs use and exploit young people including stories of knife crime, drug smuggling and county lines. St Giles Trust aims to debunk myths and stereotypes related to crime, deglamourise, expose and prevent a criminal lifestyle.
The assembly was incredibly informative and encouraged pupils to consider and speak up about issues surrounding gang culture.
We had amazing positive feedback from pupils and we hope that delivering these assemblies we have educated and prevented any of our young people from criminal exploitation.
