Streetfunk x Longhill

Bidding to create the next Diversity. JP Omari is leading a group of boys in Years 7, 8 & 9 in developing the fundamentals of street dance and learning a routine.

Streetfunk is a multi-award-winning street dance academy for young people between 4-18yrs across Sussex. JP is the leading figure of Hip Hop dance in Brighton & Hove and not only does he aim to develop good dancers but also qualities such as respectfulness, self-confidence and discipline.

Longhill provides the opportunity to take Dance as a GCSE and getting more boys to consider the subject, has been a mission for the Head of Dance Mrs Perring. “It’s so exciting to have JP at Longhill, the boys really seemed to enjoy it”.

If you are interested in joining, the club runs every Monday afterschool (2.45pm). Please contact Mrs Perring to register.
