Poetry Recording
Our school poetry club has been hard at work last term, developing thoughtful words to present to camera on the 20th February 2023. Little Green Pig a local charity that gives children and young people the opportunity to develop their writing skills and invest in their imaginations. They have been supporting the club during lunchtimes, when the poetry club regularly meet and arranged a filming session to capture their hard work.
The session started by splitting up into small groups with a mentor and they began practicing their poems. For some of the members this would be their first time reading their work aloud and also being on camera. Once comfortable, students performed in front of the camera one by one, speaking about the environment, sports, human rights and even love.
We are still waiting for the final video from Little Green Pig but all of the students that got in front of the camera performed admirably and we’re excited to see the results.
