Every year Sports Day is an important cultural event for our school.

To encourage competition and comradery the Staff & Student body is split into four houses; Dome, Lanes, Pier and Pavilion.

During the morning all the students will be organised in houses, in their year groups. They will then be briefed by the Head of Year and a member of the PE staff.

Session 1 & 2, starts at 9am and takes us up to Lunch at 1.20pm.

The following activities are what each Year Group will be getting up too, during the first 2 sessions.

Year 7s:

  • Rounders
  • Matball

Year 8:

  • Danish Longball
  • Handball

Year 9:

  • Ultimate Frisbee
  • Capture the Flag

Year 10:

  • Volleyball
  • Dodgeball

During the 3rd session in the afternoon Students are sat in Separated House Groups on the field.

On the Top Field Years 7 & 8 have their track events and on the Lower Field it will be Years 9 & 10.

The following events will be run by all years.

  • 50m
  • 100m
  • 200m
  • 400m
  • 800m
  • 4x100m

For students not competing in the races, there will also be a tug of war competition running alongside, for house teams to battle it out.
