Update: Changes to the Timings of the Day
Back in March, staff, students, parents and governors were consulted about a later start time to the school day. Since then I have been in constant contact with the Local Authority & the bus company for a decision. I have been informed this week they cannot change the bus times from September. They have said that this matter will continue to be reviewed.
You may also remember the government proposal from September stated that all students should be at school for a minimum of 32.5 hours per week. We are 25 minutes short and so our proposal was to add 5 minutes extra to mentor time each morning meaning the school day would finish 5 minutes later. These proposals have now been delayed until September 2024 and so we will keep the current timings of the day until further notice.
