Skateboarding – PE
Wheels and steel rolling all over the netball courts on Monday 18th September 2023, where some of Year 7 Students had a chance to try Skateboarding for the first time.

Skateboarding engages the muscular core when maintaining balance on the board, as well leg muscles when pushing off and performing tricks. It is a great cardio workout, burning 8-12 calories a minute just rolling around. It can also improve coordination that can improve performance in other sports, driving and daily activities in general.

If Students would like to continue developing their skills, we will be hosting a Skateboarding Academy after school on Mondays. Skateboarding is a social sport that brings together people from all walks of life and it’s a community that doesn’t stop growing.
