Year 8 Lava Lamp Project
Just before the Easter holidays, our Year 8 students explored the mesmerising world of lava lamps! Through curiosity, hard work, and creativity, they discovered the fascinating science behind these glowing wonders, presenting their findings on detailed project boards.
To celebrate their efforts, we hosted a special showcase in the VCS on Friday, 4th April, where the top five projects from each class were proudly displayed. The event was a fantastic opportunity for students to share their discoveries, exchange ideas, and admire the incredible work of their peers.
A huge congratulations to the five winners from each class! These students were rewarded for their outstanding investigations with a Science Badge, Haribo, and a Postcard in recognition of their dedication.
Additionally, six winners from across the entire year group received special prizes for their exceptional work (see photos below).
Year group winners:
First Prize: Lego set

Second Prize: Small Lego kit

Third Prize: Board game.

Well done to all our budding scientists, we hope that your enthusiasm and curiosity continue to shine brightly!
