Exam Invigilator

NJC Scale 3 – Point 7 £13.69 per hour

Casual Hours

The main examination season is in May and June, however, there will be examinations requiring invigilators at other times during the academic year to carryout mock examinations and assessments.

We are seeking reliable, observant and professional individuals to join our pool of casual exam invigilators. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and fair running of examinations across the school.

This flexible, term-time role is ideal for those seeking occasional work – perhaps retirees, students or anyone looking to contribute to the local education community.

Full training will be provided; experience of working with young people would be an advantage.

Duties include;

  • Preparing examination rooms and distributing papers and materials
  • Supervising candidates during examinations, ensuring exam regulations are followed
  • Recording attendance, reporting incidents and collecting scripts securely
  • Maintaining a calm and supportive exam environment for all students
