Partial School Closure Due to Heating Failure – Tuesday 6th January 2026

We have no heating in some parts of the school and the temperature has dropped too low for children to learn in. Consequently, on Tuesday 6th January, we will only be open for these pupils:

Y7: compulsory attendance

Y11: compulsory attendance

Children with an EHCP and those in care are welcome to come too but the choice of the parent/carers’.

The classrooms and areas of the school used by these pupils will be fully heated.

 

Work will be set on Google Classroom for pupils of Years 8, 9 and 10.

 

We are currently awaiting urgently requested repair work so that we can reopen fully, I will update you again on Tuesday by 12pm as to whether or not we can open fully open on Wednesday.
