School Policies Update

 

‘Our school is currently undertaking a review of several policies. This is in response to the new requirements requiring substantial changes to the SEN(D) policy, in line with the new SEND Code of Practice effective from 1 September 2014. As a result of changes to this policy, several other policies such as the behaviour policy also need to be adapted so we can provide seamless support and information.

 

To provide an improved, compliant set of policies we are committed to co-producing these with families, children and young people. We will therefore be conducting a consultation period with our families and young people at a later date in 2015.

 

The consultation period for reviewing our existing SEN(D) policy began on 3 September 2014 and ends on Monday 24 November 2014. Following the subsequent policy rewrite, we will be amending all relevant policies. To contribute and participate in co-producing our revisions to our policies please check back on our website in January 2015.’
