New Intake Evening is an introduction to Longhill High School for students, parents and carers who will be joining us next academic year. The evening provides much needed resources and information, plus an opportunity to meet the student’s new mentor. Please see the attached letter with information regarding the Transition & New Intake evenings taking place at Longhill High School, July 2019.
Open Evening is an opportunity for the school to showcase all the amazing work we do to prospective students and parents/carers who are considering joining Longhill High School. We encourage families to come and visit us, tour the school and meet our dedicated staff. No appointment is required to attend this event.
Work experience is a period of time that a young person spends working in a company as a form of training; a short unpaid period of time, to gain experience of a working environment. This is undertaken as part of their career education. The type of job they try is not meant to be a career choice but many young people use the opportunity to have a go at something they are interested in. They find it is useful even if it is not exactly what they expected. It can provide a great opportunity to try something new and different and to see what they can find out about themselves in the process.
