LEGO STEM Workshop with Woodingdean Primary

Longhill HIgh School is currently developing an new and exciting STEM curriculum offering for our students. The opportunity will help to develop interpersonal and collaboration skills, for use in all aspects of their life, especially the job market.

On 3rd July 2023, we were very excited to offer Year 5 and 6 students from Woodingdean Primary School a STEM taster session here at Longhill High School. Through a 90-minute workshop, students got a taste of secondary STEM education, using the latest technology in LEGO Robots sets and Infento Engineering kits.

We are offered a morning and afternoon slot, for two groups. Starting with LEGO in the morning and Infento in the afternoon. Students all successfully built robot cars in the morning and assembled the wheel structures for the scooters in the afternoon.

All the students seemed to enjoy the workshop and gave the impression of attending STEM club when they start in September.
