Become a School Governor
We have an exciting opportunity for two individuals to join our Governing Board.
Are you prepared to contribute to discussions, have an interest in the education and welfare of children and have good interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills? Then we would love you to join our Governing Board.
We are looking for individuals with the above skills and those who are willing to fulfil a Governing role with energy and enthusiasm and the time to commit to attend Governor’s meetings. As a Governor, you will receive full training and support tailored to suit your skills.
All applicants will be considered but we especially welcome those who have:
- Previous experience in Governance or strategic oversight, especially in public or voluntary sectors
- Experience of chairing, managing and leading groups.
- Expertise and experience in analysing data, budgeting and driving financial efficiency.
- Experience in recruitment, employee relations etc.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, ideally in an education setting.
Governor Duties:
- Making plans for the school’s future
- Being accountable for the schools performance
- Making decisions about money and the
- school’s budget.
