Longhill Students Reach Sussex SuperStars 2026 Final
Longhill High School is delighted to celebrate a talented group of students who have secured a place in the Sussex SuperStars 2026 final with their band, Soundwave. The grand final will take place on Saturday 7 February 2026, and the whole school community is cheering them on.
Sussex SuperStars is an exciting live talent competition created by the Focus Foundation. The show features five live heats hosted at the Hilton Brighton throughout January and February, offering performers of all ages the chance to showcase their skills on a professional stage.
During their heat, Soundwave impressed the judges and audience with a powerful performance of a song by the influential American band Rage Against the Machine. Known for blending heavy metal and hip‑hop, Rage Against the Machine rose to prominence in the 1990s with music that challenged injustice and highlighted issues such as racism, inequality, and political power. Their work is recognised for its intensity, energy, and unapologetically bold message.
Soundwave’s confident delivery and musical skill earned them a well‑deserved place in the final, and we are incredibly proud of their achievement. Their success reflects not only their hard work and creativity but also the vibrant musical culture within our school.
We wish them the very best of luck as they prepare for the final. The entire Longhill community is behind them.
