Little Green Pig – Creative Anthology Launch Party

A group of our students have contributed to the Ocean Wonder anthology. Published by Little Green Pig, who enable children and young people across Sussex to experiment with writing in all its forms and to share their work with a wide audience.

A launch event was organised at the Jubilee Library, in Brighton on 8th June 2023. It was set up in the children’s section of the library, with food and drinks included.

Ocean Wonder is a anthology of wild and water words from the imaginations of young writers from Sussex to Australia.

The Ocean Wonder anthology launch was an event full of incredibly talented young poets and performers. Eden set the stage with well-written welcome speech and Hannah had the daunting task of reading the first poem of the evening, but they both rose to the challenge beautifully. They were a great representation of the creative writing talent at Longhill. The English Department are very proud of them, and the other Longhill poets who contributed to the anthology.
