Year 11 GCSE PE and Sports Studies Visit to Amex Stadium for Careers in Sport Day
Our Year 11 GCSE PE and Sports Studies students had an exciting and insightful day at the Amex Stadium, attending a Careers in Sport event. The day provided a fantastic opportunity to explore the wide range of careers available in the sports industry, both on and off the field.

Students took part in interactive workshops and talks from industry professionals, gaining valuable knowledge about roles in sports science, coaching, media, physiotherapy, and more. They also had the chance to hear from experts working at the stadium, learning about the different pathways into sports-related careers.

The visit was an inspiring experience, broadening students’ understanding of future career opportunities and the skills needed to succeed in the sports sector. A huge thank you to the Amex Stadium and the event organisers for an informative and enjoyable day!
KS4 Badminton Team Shine in Sussex Regional Competition
Our KS4 Badminton Team has had an incredible journey this season, starting with a fantastic victory in the Brighton and Hove local competition before going on to compete against the best schools in Sussex at the regional finals held at Lewes Priory.

The team put in an outstanding performance in the group stage, winning all their matches against tough opposition, including Durrington High School, the recent national champions. This secured them a place in the final against the host school, Lewes Priory.
In a thrilling and hard-fought final, our boys gave it their all but narrowly missed out on the title. The team was understandably gutted to come so close to qualifying for the national competition, but they should be incredibly proud of their achievement. Finishing as runners-up in Sussex is a remarkable accomplishment, and we are officially the second-best school in the county for badminton!

A huge well done to all the players for their commitment, teamwork, and determination. The future of badminton at our school is looking very bright!
Year 7 Basketball Team Impress in First Triangular Tournament
Our Year 7 Basketball Team put in a fantastic performance in their first mini triangular tournament held at Patcham, competing against Hove Park and Patcham.

The boys played with great energy and teamwork, winning two out of four games. The other two matches were incredibly close, with just one or two points separating the teams. Their determination and effort were evident throughout, showing real promise for the future.
A great start to the season—well done to all the players! We look forward to seeing their continued progress in upcoming fixtures.
