Andorra Ski Trip 2025 – A Week of Adventure and Achievement

Over the Easter holidays, 40 students from Years 9 to 11, along with six staff members, enjoyed a truly memorable ski trip to Andorra. Nestled in the stunning Pyrenees mountains, Andorra’s Grandvalira resort provided the perfect setting for a week filled with snow, adventure, and personal growth.

After a long but smooth journey via Calais, the group arrived in La Massana, where our hotel offered easy access to the slopes via the nearby gondola. Spirits were high as students settled in and prepared for their first day on the snow.

Each morning began with a hearty breakfast before heading to the slopes, where students were grouped by ability for daily ski lessons with professional instructors. The progress over the week was remarkable – beginners quickly moved from nursery slopes to blue runs, while more advanced skiers refined their technique and tackled challenging red and black runs with growing confidence.

The weather was kind to us, with fresh snow and clear skies offering ideal conditions. But the trip wasn’t just about skiing – evenings were packed with fun après-ski activities, including bowling, a visit to a local pizza restaurant, and a much-anticipated quiz night.  It was heartening to see students supporting one another, celebrating each other’s successes, and stepping out of their comfort zones in such a positive way.

Staff were incredibly proud of the students, not just for their achievements on the slopes, but for the way they represented the school throughout the week. Their behaviour was exemplary, and both hotel and ski school staff commented on the group’s respectful and enthusiastic attitude.

Safety remained our top priority, and aside from a few minor tumbles, everyone stayed well and in high spirits. We are grateful to the staff team who gave up their time and energy to ensure the trip ran smoothly and safely.

The Andorra ski trip was a resounding success, filled with laughter, challenge, and memories to last a lifetime. Plans are already being made for next year’s adventure, and we look forward to welcoming even more students for another fantastic week on the slopes.
