School Trips
Throughout the academic year, our students have the unique opportunity to participate in a variety of visits and fieldwork activities designed to enrich their classroom learning. We organise diverse trips ranging from national to international destinations, catering to students across all year groups. These excursions are integral to our educational philosophy, helping to bring classroom concepts to life and fostering a deeper understanding of the material covered.

Planning trips
For trips abroad students will need a current passport. They will also require an EHIC card.
EHIC/GHIC Card
The UK Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) lets you get state healthcare in Europe at a reduced cost or sometimes for free. If you have a UK European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) it will be valid until the expiry date on the card. Once it expires, you’ll need to apply for a GHIC to replace it. A GHIC and EHIC does not replace travel insurance.
You can apply online at: https://www.gov.uk/global-health-insurance-card
We aim to keep all costs to a minimum and try to give as much notice as possible for payment of trips. Where possible we offer payment by instalments. Trips must be paid for online, please click here to visit our sQuid link for more information.
Please be aware that we have limited places on certain trips which are often offered on a first come first serve basis, so please ensure the reply slip is returned as soon as possible.
Ski Trip
The Ski Trip offers an extraordinary experience that’s second to none. Skiing isn’t just about hitting the slopes; it’s about building confidence, resilience, and teamwork. Students learn new skills, face challenges head-on, and come away with a sense of accomplishment that extends beyond the classroom.
On the ski slopes, students are introduced to an entirely new environment that stimulates both their physical and mental capabilities. They learn the fundamentals of skiing, from basic techniques to more advanced manoeuvres, allowing them to progress at their own pace while pushing their boundaries. This sense of progression and mastery is immensely satisfying and translates into increased self-esteem and confidence.
The breath-taking scenery, the thrill of the sport, and the camaraderie developed make this trip one of the most memorable and enriching experiences our students ever have.

Year 8 Camp
The Year 8 Camp is an incredible opportunity for students to embrace the great outdoors and participate in a variety of exciting activities. They promote team-building, cooperation and friendship, making this experience not only fun but also beneficial for building resilience, leadership skills, and a sense of accomplishment.
Students will enjoy kayaking, rock climbing, abseiling, and zip lining, all of which build physical strength and confidence. Archery, navigating tunnels, and tackling low rope courses enhance concentration and agility. The crate challenge fosters teamwork, while scenic walks and campfire activities encourage bonding and learning.
Camp not only provides fun but also contributes to personal growth and team spirit. It’s a chance to make lasting memories, forge new friendships, and return with a stronger sense of self.
