Uni Game – Uni Connect

As part of our commitment to broadening horizons and raising aspirations, Year 7 students recently took part in an exciting enrichment activity called Uni Game. The programme, delivered by students from the University of Brighton in partnership with Uni Connect, is designed to inspire young people to explore higher education pathways.

Throughout the day, our students immersed themselves in a fun and interactive simulation of university life. They tackled challenges around budgeting, course choices, social activities, and time management, gaining a realistic sense of the opportunities, challenges, and rewards that come with university study.

Uni Game aims not only to demystify university life but also to empower young people with the knowledge and confidence to see higher education as an achievable goal. Through role play and real-world scenarios, students discovered a range of subject areas and learned that university is about much more than lectures.

The event was a resounding success. Our Year 7 pupils were enthusiastic and curious, asking insightful questions and reflecting on their own future possibilities. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many students saying the activity helped them understand the range of subjects that are available at university, and improved their understanding of the wider university experience.

We are proud to work with Uni Connect and the University of Brighton to provide such meaningful enrichment opportunities. These experiences form a vital part of our mission to support every student in exploring their potential and planning for the future.
