This term a group of students from Nightingale House have been working with artist Nick Sayers to design a light shade
Over the first half of this summer term, a group of Longhill’s arty Year 9s, 10s and 11s participated in specialist printmaking workshops with degree students from Brighton University.
Congratulations to three of our students whose entries to creative writing website www.fiftywordstories.com have been accepted and posted on the site as some of this month’s best.
Longhill High School would like to welcome and invite you to ‘be our guest’ at this year’s summer production of ‘Beauty & the Beast’ on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th June 2015.
Last week, twenty eight of our year 9 students travelled to Spain where they spent five days in Salou, Catalonia, on the beautiful “Golden Coast” (Costa Daurada). All of the students thoroughly enjoyed their trip and the activities that they participated in. It was a positive experience for everybody involved.
Bucking the General Election results, Longhill High School’s staff and students voted for Labour in the school’s election, with UKIP and Green coming 2nd and 3rd.
Longhill High School has won a bid to win an Ultimaker2 3D printer. The printer will be generously donated by Dr Harvey with funding he received from the ‘I’m A Scientist: Get Me Out Of Here’ project.
This week, current Longhill High students were proud and excited to see ex-student Tommy Elphick successfully captain Bournemouth AFC to the premier league for the first time.
Congratulations to Longhill High School Year 8 Football Team who won the coveted League Cup Final (D2) this week. By the second half, Longhill were 2-0 down to a strong Downlands team and things were looking bleak.
